We've been open for over a year!

Main Content Inline Small

Over a year has come and gone since we opened our doors. Welcome to the countless new students that are incorporating Bikram’s 26 posture series into their lives. In this time, we have continuously heard feedback that your health, your bodies, your postures, and your lives improved greatly.

Your time and energy are well invested with Bikram. Regular practice is the way to clean inside of the body from fingertips to toes and from bones to skin.

Over time, Bikram Yoga aims to repair the body where injury has occurred, improve circulation, burn fat, and increase maximum oxygen to all the cells while calming and relaxing the mind. And of course over time increasing flexibility, focus, concentration, and determination through discipline.

From our staff and ourselves, we wish you continued encouragement to a happy, healthy life through Bikram Yoga.

Feature Body Part: Hamstrings-Thigh Bicepts

Main Content Inline Small

Most people come to the room with tight hamstrings. When hamstrings are tight the leg does not have full range of movement and therefore your spine flexibility is limited. The most common injury is a pull to where this muscle inserts.

Regular Bikram practice will open and stretch every part of the body from finger tips to toes from bones to skin. The more stretching pain you feel in a posture the more your body needs it. Keep coming and you will see results.

See the next three feature postures that are good for the hamstrings.

Yoga Potion Story

Main Content Inline Small

The idea of Yoga Potion came to me at Bikram teacher training in the fall of 2004. With a background in phytotherapies, I used my personal oil blends every step of my 9 week training. I used oils for sore stiff muscles, headaches, nausea, to relax, and at times for energy.

My fellow teacher trainers would smell my blends I was using and want them. I saw an opportunity to use the oils specifically for yoga and I started mixing custom blends for my fellow classmates.

When we do a lot of Bikram Yoga we detoxify our bodies, which manifests itself in many different ways. Everything from headaches, acne, nausea, low energy, old injury flaring up, arthritis, eczema. Things can flare up before they become healed by the process. A breaking down and then a building back up. Kind of like the reno of an old house.

The oil blends are a wonderful natural way to heal yoga wounds. Find an oil you love the smell of and use it often.

Yoga potion is available in our retail boutique in Kamloops.
